A double gold medalist with more than 34 years of professional experience, Dr Neelima Jerath has been Executive Director of Punjab State Council for Science & Technology since 2009. She is also the Director General of Pushpa Gujral Science City in Chandigarh. Dr Jerath is credited with establishing the Patent Information Centre, ENVIS Centre, IPR Centre for MSMEs and Regional Centre of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development in the Council. She has handled several international projects for UNESCO, UNDP, UNU-IAS, NASA etc and has been invited as Environmental Education Expert by UNESCO for its various meetings/ programmes at Spain, Japan, China, Malaysia, Phillipines, Indonesia and Germany. She has authored/ edited books, technical reports, and educational kits and has published 26 papers in Peer Reviewed journals/ international conferences. Dr Jerath is member of several national committees including those of Planning Commission, DST-GoI, MoEF-GoI, NBA, etc.
